Top reasons to rent
13th Dec, 2013
In our last blog we took a look at a few of the most popular reasons for buying a property. In this blog we’re going to focus on renting.
So let’s take a look at the top reasons behind most decisions to rent a property.
There are vastly more options available for those who want to rent and not buy – which makes finding a place much easier.
And since there are more options, you’re more likely to find a property in the location you want.
Freedom to move
Of course, if you’re not happy with where you’ve moved to, or if your circumstances suddenly change (if you decide to change your jobs and move to another city), then it’s much easier if you’re not tied to a property you’ve bought.
Many rented properties will ask that you give 3 months notice, but that’s really all you need to worry about.
No maintenance costs
Repair work can rack up an expensive bill. But thankfully when you rent a property, you’re not responsible for when things go wrong.
You won’t need to fork out for a faulty boiler or a leaking roof; all this will be covered by the landlord.
No financial responsibility
Markets change, and so selling your property in the future could be a problem. When you rent this isn’t an issue. Your money isn’t tied up in the property you rent.
