Radcliffe & Rust is a proudly independent estate agency based in Cambridge, specialising in residential sales, lettings, and expert advice on property development, planning, and investment. Our mission is to offer a bespoke, personal service rooted in professionalism, transparency, and genuine care for our clients.
Founded in 2011 by David Radcliffe and Richard Rust — both lifelong residents of villages just outside Cambridge — our business is built on deep local knowledge and a shared passion for property. With a strong understanding of Cambridge City and its surrounding towns and villages, we are perfectly positioned to guide you through every stage of your property journey.
“We launched Radcliffe & Rust with a clear vision: to deliver a service grounded in integrity, expertise, and accountability. While we may not change the property industry as a whole, we are committed to raising the standard of estate agency—one client at a time.”
— David Radcliffe & Richard Rust
At Radcliffe & Rust, we believe that great service begins with great people. Our experienced team is small by design, ensuring a personal, tailored experience for every client. At the same time, we are proud to be recognised as a strong and respected brand within the Cambridge market.
Whether you’re buying, selling, letting, investing, or developing, we provide sound guidance and effective marketing strategies to help you maximise your property’s potential. Our expertise spans residential sales, lettings, new homes, buy-to-let investments, mortgages, and more.
While property is our profession, people are our focus. We believe that success lies in building lasting relationships and delivering a service that consistently exceeds expectations — with honesty, reliability, and exceptional attention to detail.

David Radcliffe
Director & Co-Founder
david@radcliffeandrust.co.uk
David Radcliffe is one of the founding directors of Radcliffe & Rust and has been at the heart of the business since its launch in 2011. With a career in estate agency that began at Connells, David built a solid foundation in both second-hand and new home sales. In 2008, he broadened his expertise by moving into mortgage advice—giving him a well-rounded and insightful perspective on the full property journey.
Launching Radcliffe & Rust alongside his business partner Richard Rust was a proud and defining moment. “We started with a cold, damp unit that we renovated ourselves. It wasn’t glamorous—but it was ours, and it marked the beginning of something meaningful.” That humble first office eventually gave way to the company’s current home in Beacon Rise—a brighter, more welcoming space that reflects the growth and evolution of the business.
David is a firm believer that success is built on hard work and genuine relationships. “There’s nothing more rewarding than reading our customer reviews and knowing we’ve helped people move forward with confidence. That feedback is what drives our team every day.”
Outside the office, David enjoys time with his family, countryside walks, and the occasional quiet moment with a good book—though life has become considerably livelier since the arrival of his son George in 2019. At home, he shares space not only with his wife and child, but also with Frank, the ever-skeptical family cat.

Richard Rust
Director & Co-Founder
richard@radcliffeandrust.co.uk
Richard Rust is one of the co-founders of Radcliffe & Rust and a true local, having been born and raised in the village of Reach. Educated at Swaffham Prior, Bottisham Village College, and Long Road Sixth Form College, Richard’s deep roots in the Cambridge area give him a unique and personal understanding of the local property market.
Property has always been in Richard’s blood. As the son of a now-retired property developer, he grew up immersed in the world of construction and new homes. It came as no surprise when he began his career in estate agency in 2003, quickly developing a passion for helping people navigate one of the most important decisions of their lives. In 2011, that passion evolved into something bigger: launching Radcliffe & Rust alongside David Radcliffe, turning a long-held aspiration into a thriving business.
Friendly, approachable, and calm under pressure, Richard brings a refreshing energy to the process of buying and selling. While many consider moving home to be one of life’s most stressful experiences, Richard takes a different view. His relaxed yet professional manner helps put clients at ease, and his commitment to honest advice and clear communication ensures they feel supported from start to finish.
“Being an estate agent doesn’t feel like work to me—it’s just something I genuinely enjoy. Every day is different, every client is unique, and that’s what keeps it exciting. If you love what you do, you give it your best—and that’s what our clients deserve.”
Away from the office, Richard enjoys golf, experimenting in the kitchen (“from scratch” meals are his speciality), and spending quality time with friends and family. Life has become even more rewarding—and a bit more energetic—since the arrival of his daughter, Amalie.

Outside of work, Helen enjoys spending time with her grown-up children, and newest family member – her grandson Leo, family holidays, and weekends away with friends.
